Peter Queitzsch

For more than 30 years, Peter has been the person business owners call in when things need fixing — a struggling network, a business in financial distress, or an owner who simply needs a steady, experienced hand to manage the transition out. Peter combines almost 50 years of hands-on business experience with a specific, proven track record in turnaround, recovery and ownership transition, built first inside one of Australia’s largest agribusinesses and, for the past 25 years, as an owner, consultant and hands-on manager in his own right.

Having spent the first 25 years of his career with Elders Limited, rising to General Manager, it was here that the turnaround discipline took root: accountable for > 41 branches and gross revenue exceeding $350 million. Along the way he also served as Rural Finance Manager, managing a multimillion-dollar loan book and assets.

Since leaving Elders, Peter has built a 25-year track record as a business owner and hands-on M&A adviser, most recently focused squarely on turnaround and ownership-transition work in manufacturing and retail. From 2022 to 2024 he managed the transition of Dingo Mini Diggers, stepping into a business in poor financial shape to provide planning and management while supporting its owners through to retirement. From 2024 to 2026 he took on a similar hands-on engagement at Trailers 2000. Earlier in his career he bought and grew a tourism business, consulted to agribusiness companies on strategy and structure, and contract consulted to a C Q business with agricultural and mining accommodation investments (2013–2017), each engagement built around the same discipline: stabilise the business, give it real direction, and manage the people and process through change.

Across his career he has also been directly involved in the sale of businesses ranging in value from $250,000 to a transaction worth more than $305 million in today’s dollars, with a strong concentration in agricultural production systems.

Having sat on both sides of the table — as the manager steering a business through distress and transition, and as the broker helping owners prepare theirs for sale, Peter brings a rare, practical understanding of what a business actually needs to be genuinely “FIT” before it goes to market. He works with owners well before a sale so decades of hard-won value and intellectual property aren’t lost at the gate.
